Look at the Moon
Look at how it shines,
Unlike people here
It doesn't whine
About the flaws and spots
On its surface
Which are similar to those
On our faces.
Those craters are the highlights
Of the Moon, as we call it,
In the night sky so bright.
Do artists not paint
The spots (of the Moon) in their Pictures?
Do people remove them
In the photos they capture?
You are beautiful.
Don't let people tell you otherwise.
Like all the other moons
Of different colors, shapes and sizes.
There's always someone
Who will appreciate
Your allure, with no hate.
Your time will come
Have patience,
Just as the Moon comes out
After its renascence
In the night sky,
After the daylight drowns
Where the sun had risen high,
The Moon becomes the Crown.
The Moon only glows
At night.
So will you,
After every fight
In your mind, which may be dark.
So become the Moon and
Bring out your spark.
Stop having that
Internal war.
You are exquisite
As you are.
Because remember,
No one tells the Moon
That it's beautiful,
They just admire
It from afar.
