I sit by the window
Looking at the sky
The floor beneath me grumbles
And people say goodbye.
Soon, I start moving
With the clouds above.
Their beauty so ethereal
Such a sight, I might fall in love.
A wish forms inside of me
To fly and to be set free
To feel the dewy
Clouds on my cheeks
And get lost for hours
And days and weeks.
I just want to
Have no care,
And just wonder what
Creatures might live there.
They seem like another world,
Those clouds
Infinite, unlike ours
Which is bound.
As if they can read my mind,
One comes forward and the other goes behind.
Admiring their beauty,
I stare at them.
A building comes
Out of nowhere then.
A blink and I realize
It's my house,
Beckoning to me, telling me
To forget about the clouds.
Jumping to reality,
I go to my home
Just to look at the clouds
In another ride back home.
